Sou. Dhanashee K. Sir Desai Jambotikar: Continuously Working For The People of Khanapur

Khanapur taluk lies in the western part of Belagavi district and its land borders touch Goa and Maharashtra and is one of the largest taluks in the state. But in terms of development it is far behind and a lot needs to be done. The people of the taluka elected  a Congress MLA  in 2018 assembly elections and the BJP is in power in the state since July 2019. Mrs. Dhanashree  Jambotikar, from the  ancestral family of Jamboti, has been appointed as the State Secretary- BJP Mahila Morcha, Karnataka, since the last three years  and is doing her best in helping the people of the taluka.

She takes keen interest in the welfare of the poor, personally does social work and has helped maximum number of suffering patients in getting timely treatment. For major surgeries like liver transplant, she’s in touch with BJP MP, Mr. Anant Kumar Hegde, as Khanapur comes under the Uttar Kannada Lok Sabha constituency. She goes out of her way in helping the people apply for the Aadhar cards, ration cards, helping them with the required documentation and following up with the Primary Health Centre (PHC) and getting their OPD cards ready.

Some of the people staying in the far corners of the taluka do not have access to meet the higher officials like the Tahshildar, she helps them in sorting out their problems and gets them in touch with the with concerned person. She is also known to talk to local Police Stations (PS) if some of them are in trouble or need assistance.  She recently met the DFO Belagavi for getting permission to Gavali Wada of Talawade in the taluka for permitting HESCOM to provide lights to the village and also getting solar panels installed in some villages. She also helped the villagers of Degaon (in Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary) a remote village, in getting gas kits by collecting all their documents and getting them sanctioned; she also got the Ayushman Bharath cards to the  people in the villages and visiting government primary school at Huland to see the state of the approach road and getting it repaired. Regular games for the youth are held and she supports cricket tournaments and promotes local talent. She actively participates with the women folk in the haldi-kumkum programs.
