The Palace grounds in IT Capital Bengaluru, witnessed record breaking crowds at the conclusion of the Parivartan Yatra, which was addressed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Senior leaders from the state spoke about the state of affairs in Karnataka state before the arrival of PM Modi. The key speakers who spoke in the presence of the PM was Union Minister from Bengaluru HN Ananth Kumar, and Lok Sabha MP and BJP State president, B S Yeddyurappa. The last to speak was Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

KS Eshwarappa made an impassioned speech; he called PM Modi a lion, and the lion would get Karnataka as the 20 th state after BJP’s victory ahead in the soon to be held assembly elections, and former CM BSY would again become the CM of Karnataka. KSE called Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, a  rat. 20 BJP karyakartas in the state have been killed till date, how would the CM react if his own son met such a fate? Karnataka state has seen the highest number of farmer suicides in the country.

Former Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar:  called the huge mass of people assembled here as Jan Shakti at the conclusion of the Parivartan rally. The state has got the most corrupt tag in the country; there is breakdown of the law and order machinery in the state and again repeated the words of senior BJP leader KS Eshwarappa, that there have been murders of Hindu karyakartas and hit strongly at the ruling Congress government in the state.

Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans rent the air; the other catchy phrases in Kannada were “Karnataka da Vikas Jodi, Yeddyurappa, Modi” ;  Yeddyurappa ki jai and Narendra Modi ki Jai.

H N Ananth Kumar: began his opening remarks by elaborating about the book written by PM Modi for students and how they should handle exam related stress. Narendra Modi leads the NDA/BJP alliance and mentioned that Rahul Gandhi led the Ulta Pulta Alliance (UPA). He highlighted the humble origins of the PM and has dedicated his life to the cause of the nation and called him a Karma Yogi. On further comparison between Modi and Rahul Gandhi, he called the latter a person born and brought up in the lap of luxury. He highlighted the different schemes brought out by the government till date and how they influenced the lives of the common man. Under PM Modi, Hubli-Dharwad in North Karnataka region got the IIT and he was the first PM instrumental in getting the same to the impoverished region. Minimum support price (MSP) of 1.5 times for the first time being given to the farmers and such a decision not been taken in the last 70 years. The PM when asked about his dream is known to have answered that the welfare and development of 130 crore people, and fulfilling their dreams was his dream. He is always there for the downtrodden in society like the oppressed and uncared for.  Union Minister HN Ananth Kumar, taunted Karnataka CM, that he had different dreams at different times, like one dream at 10-11-12-o-clock. And he further added that the dreams of 6.5 crore Kannadigas is soon to be realized by Narendra Modi.

Ananth Kumar praising his party members spoke highly about BS Yeddyurappa and referred to the former CM as hat trick hero; he was the CM of the state two times and he would now become the CM for the third time. The party in the soon to be held assembly elections in the state would win 150 seats and form the government with a thumping majority. He added that the Parivartan Yatra was a long one for 85 days, covered 11,000 kilometres and touched all the 224 assembly constituencies in the length and breadth of the state. Former CM BS Yeddyurappa met and interacted with more than two crore people during the entire yatra. He called the former CM as a farmer leader and asked the people of the state to bless the BJP by raising both their hands and help the party form the next government in the state.

BS Yeddyurappa greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it was his turn to the mike and he   welcomed all the leaders seated on the dais including two former CMs, and now BJP members SM Krishna and Sreenivas Prasad. He addressed the lakhs and lakhs of party workers and volunteers who had converged at the Palace grounds in Bengaluru from far corners of the state. He took special care in mentioning the party’s MLAs and MPs who were seated ahead. BSY said that once the BJP formed the government; about one lakh crore rupees would be designated for developmental works to be carried out in the state. He again like the previous speakers spoke about the achievements of Narendra Modi’s government in the last four years and spoke with contempt about the failures of the Congress government ruling the state for the past five years. He called Siddaramaiah’s rule the most corrupt one; there was a complete chaos and break down of law and order and 24 BJP karyakartas have been murdered till date. The Congress government is now having pre-poll alliances with anti-national parties whose sole agenda is creating communal disharmony. The Congress party has cheated the farmers with false promises, have done injustice to the people of north Karnataka by not completing the pending work in the Krishna basin till date. BSY shouted “Dhikara, Dhikara’’ against the Congress party. He said that the Congress party’s character is anti-Dalit and they have paid lip service to them and never let Babu Jagjivan Ram become the Prime Minister of India.

Yeddyurappa sounded emotional in his speech and reminded the large crowds as to how CM Siddaramiah, visited the holy shrine of Dharmasthala Manjunath, after consuming fish; and here was a Prime Minister, who kept a fast when he visited the abode of the Lord. The motto of Modi government is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.  He requested the large gathering with folded hands to not let the BJP down and re-elect them to serve them better. Finally, before concluding his speech, he spoke in Hindi, “that he would fulfil the PM’s dream of having a Congress Mukht Bharat” and thanked the crowd for turning up in large numbers and again asking them to help the BJP win 150 seats. BS Yeddyurappa was felicitated by the Prime Minister after he finished his speech.

Highlights of PM Narendra Modi’s Parivartan Rally Speech at Palace Grounds  in Bengaluru on Feb 4, 2018

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his speech in Kannada language by  invoking  all  historical and famous names in history from the state. He started with Nada Prabhu, the founder of Bengaluru: Kempe Gowda; Mahatma Basaveshwara; Medar Chennayya; Kittur Rani Chanamma and her lieutenant Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna; Sant Shishunal Shareef  and Sir. M. Vishweshwariah.

He took the names of all the leaders seated on stage and did not miss the name of any of the leaders present. He was delighted to see the large crowds at the Palace grounds swarming with a sea of humanity on all sides. PM Modi said that never before had he seen such a sight and added that the winds of change were blowing in the state. Speaking about the positives of  Bengaluru, the IT Capital, was the pride  of India. It was truly an international city embedded with institutions of great repute and was the trendsetter in showing the path to the entire country. He said the time for the countdown of the Congress party has started and it was now, “standing at the exit gates”. The people of Karnataka by coming in large numbers have decided to make the state  Congress Mukht Bharat “None in the country deserves to be ruled by the Congress”. The inclusive  principle of  BJP is “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas”, is the new slogan; and the BJP is not very far from forming the next government in the state. The party was capable of giving direction to the pace of development and take the state and country to greater heights.

The needs of the 21st century have changed and people now need infrastructure in tune with global standards and they being: good roads; excellent railway network; good educational institutes; health facility for all, and overall better infrastructure all around. BJP is the sole party capable of taking the country by leaps and bounds forward. The common man would benefit with good living standards and the people of the state would stand to profit if a good government was in place and development would increase manifold.

Touching upon the schemes launched by the Central government; in the Jan Dhan Yojna 1.16 crores bank accounts opened and poor people who never went to banks, can now proudly boast of having a bank account in their name. Another one crore loans have been disbursed; in Nirmal Yojna 8.5 lakh women have got free gas connections; 34 lakh toilets built in Swach Abhiyan. In Soubhagya Yojna, seven lakh homes who lived in the dark ages, have now been electrified and there has been visible changes in their daily lives. Their lives have brightened up for good and they are on the path of growth and progress.

The rule of the Congress party is only for self-gain. The funds from the centre have not reached the people. During the rule of the UPA, the state got a paltry sum of Rs 73,000 crores; and after the BJP government took power in year 2014, the state received more than two lakh crores and there has been an increase of 180% in allocation of funds from the centre to the state. And under different schemes, the funds from the centre to Karnataka are in excess of more than 40,000 crores. The PM in his usual style asked the people if the funds have been used by the state government and if development was visible anywhere?

Special Package for Bengaluru: It is the BJP’s policy to strengthen the people through good governance and for Bengaluru, a special package of Rs 17,000 crores has been allotted for the suburban railway network; the rail network will add 28 new stations and  will directly benefit 15 lakh commuters. This will reduce the number of traffic jams and people can be assured of a safe commute to their jobs. The people of Karnataka should be proud that the BJP has earmarked 82,000 crore funds and work on 44 different projects which includes road and railway network will commence soon. Next generation infrastructure and development  has become a basic necessity and is not a luxury.

Infrastructure Projects: Under the UPAs’ five year tenure only 950 kms of national highway development added in Karnataka and in the BJP’s four-and-a-half-years rule, we have already added 1600 kms of national highway. So the public can imagine the pace of our work. The UPA added 38 kms of new railway lines and track doubling of 105 kms in their tenure; and the BJP in three-and-a half-years have already created 200 kms of new rail lines and an equal amount of track doubling. The other infrastructure projects include the Bharatmala; the Udaan Yojna will see 56 new airports and 31 helipads; and even those wearing hawai chappals can travel by Hawai jaj (aeroplane).  The motto of the government is: Reform, Performa and Transform.

Schemes for Farmers and Agriculturists: Farmers had to wait for a long time to get the much required Urea, and the same is easily available and it neem coated and is of high quality. Previously high premiums were paid for protecting the standing  crops, the BJP government solved  the existing problems by launching the PM’s Fasal Bhima Yojna; the PM’s Sinchai Yojna, through which the farmers will harvest gold from mud. 11 crore soil health cards have been distributed and the BJP is working overnight to improve the plight of the farmers. Giving good prices for agricultural produce has been earmarked in this budget and three vegetables have been given priority and they are : Tomatoes-Onions and Potatoes (TOP). Operation Green in place for all vegetable growers similar to operation Flood, this helped in improving the quality of live-stock and augmented the production of milk as another source of income among both the landed and landless farmers.  If villages develop than migration from rural to urban areas will cease. Has the Congress party ever shown such zeal and concern for alleviating the problems faced by the people? And the common man is clearly aware as to how the Congress party has ruled the nation till date.

Other projects initiated: have been Skill India; Start Up India and Stand Up India. In start Up India Rs 10,000 crores have been kept aside for the middle class; so that even a middle class person becomes a job giver instead of a job seeker. Through this initiative self employment will get a fillip and Rs three lakh crores  to be disbursed under it. The middle class will have such added benefits and one can imagine where the country will reach in the course of time. MSME sectors also there in increasing the number of jobs; Make In India has helped entrepreneurs in developing their full potential.

State of Affairs in Karnataka: India is now renowned for “Ease of Doing Business’’, but the state under the Congress government has earned the dubious distinction of “ Ease of Doing Murders”, the state has regressed and has become a hot bed of criminal activity. Any individual opposing the government has to pay with his life and this is a dangerous trend for democracy.  So the people of the state should give a befitting reply to the murders by voting the corrupt Congress regime out of power and teach them a lesson in the upcoming polls. The BJP workers have also faced the brunt and are being killed for raising their voices against the corrupt government. Corruption has become the order of the day; paying commission is a way of life and the ruling Congress is now a 10% government. None of the works can happen in the state without paying money. There are serious charges of corruption on some of the Ministers in the government. There are sand, land, and  transfer  (mafias) and they are virtually running the state. There has been a “Nanga Nach’’(meaning Naked Dance) by mafia’s which enjoy political patronage and support from the powers that be in the current dispensation. The rule of the Congress stands out for promoting families, dynasties and a power coterie that wields unlimited power. The state must become crime and corruption free and this is possible only through Congress Mukht Bharat.

The PM was generous in his praise of the people of Karnataka, as they are selfless and dedicated to a cause. The same was witnessed when the Under 19 Cricket Team won the World Cup defeating Australia and the PM had words of praise for the commitment and integrity of Rahul Dravid’s contribution post his retirement from the game.

Promises by PM Narendra Modi to Karnataka: By the year 2022 the central government will give the citizens of the state their dream homes and this will be achieved through the PM’s Awaas Yojna and 3.36 crore  houses  have been proposed for the state of Karnataka; but the state government has been able to furnish only 38,000 houses till date. For achieving the desired target 247 crores of funds have been released and till date only Rs 70 crore has been spent and only 30-40% of the work has been completed.  Rs 836 crores given to the state under Smart City Mission and about Rs 309 crore funds lie unused in the state government’s kitty. In entire south India the public health funding is the lowest in Karnataka and the Congress regime is deaf to the health needs of the middle and lower classes. So the people of the state should do what is good for them and remember that only the BJP stands for development and the Congress party cannot match our level of commitment. The PM, finally concluded by closing his speech in Kannada language and thanked the people and that they were the makers of “New Karnataka” and victory was waiting for them outside their door steps.
