We stay in a globalized world, and whatever happens in one corner of a country eventually influences the lives of people across the globe. The same can now be said post the Corona Virus which has changed how people will live rest of their lives.

We are now staying in the most difficult of times and people’s lives have been severely affected and still there is no end in sight. India too has been hit and the concerned authorities across the country are doing their  best they can to contain the virus from spreading by strictly enforcing a lockdown and people are also cooperating. Since March 22nd, things have drastically changed and we are now in Phase 2 of the lockdown which has been extended till May 3.

Even during such a crisis where hunger has become a new normal and a daily struggle for some who have lost their source of income and livelihood; are being taken care by some good meaning individuals, charitable organisations and different groups doing their best by distributing dry rations and the daily necessities of life.

Extensive usage of Hand Sanitizers and maintaining good hygiene now and at all times is the new talk among people; ‘Quarantine’ is the new word that is now here to stay, and maintaining ‘Social Distance’ another word compliments it. ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’, is relayed on all public broadcast networks including social media, and one has to compulsorily wear a mask while going out. As no medicine has been found yet to cure the deadly virus, so one can only speculate till a cure and treatment is found. One should stay calm and not panic and be careful not to forward unverified posts (Fake news) on different platforms.

The rich and well to do have resources to live from, but what about the state of the common man and the lesser fortunate ones who live a hand-to-mouth existence?  Safety is important and so is economics and earning a living. So the need of the hour now is to stay connected with one’s clients and find out ways and start thinking of ways to keep oneself busy and earn a living while staying home. Let’s all hope and pray that we see normal times at the earliest.
